Job Description

We have an exciting role as a Purchaser within our Australian business, available for an enthusiastic and motivated Purchasing Officer to join our Melbourne team on a full-time, permanent basis. 

This position carries out the primary purchasing functions for the supply and delivery of spare parts and services required for the daily operations of the business. It will include practical management of spare parts and coordination of associated logistics and will lead the site storekeeper(s) where applicable.

Reporting directly to the local Operations Manager, with a requirement to communicate directly with Assistant Manager(s) and shift Supervisors.

The Group is active since 1999 in providing Ground Support Equipment Maintenance, Rental, and Fleet Management to Ground Handlers, Airlines, and Airports.  The GSE term encompasses all equipment used in aviation ground operations, such as; push-back tractors, loaders, tractors, belt loaders, catering trucks, ground power units and air starter units, tow bars, trailers-dollies, baggage carts, and other general equipment in an airport.

Position Requirements:

  • Current driver’s license 

  • Previous experience in Automotive, Trucking or Heavy Machinery or Diesel vehicle industries 

  • High-level communication skills with the ability to liaise with confidence over the phone and face-to-face with customers and team members

  • Computer skills mandatory

  • The ability to use Excel would be favorable
